If you aren’t careful with what projects and clients you take on with your business, you can find yourself with a bad business quickly.

Over the years, I have put together a checklist I use when taking on new projects.

  1. I have the time.
  2. The money is worth it.
  3. It falls in one of my current niches.
  4. It falls in one of my current product offerings.
  5. I align with the client’s mission, vision, and values.
  6. The client has a product that works and has been tested in the market.
  7. The project will stretch, but not break, me.
